2006 is a pivotal year in my photography in that this is when I switched to digital -- a Canon G6, point and shoot model with a built-in 140mm zoom. My work travel takes me to Italy, the Netherlands, and Tanzania - highlight of the year. The lens is clearly not adequate by 'wildlife safari standards' forcing me to concentrate on nearby subjects.

Highlights for 2007 include backcountry skiing and hiking in the Canadian Rockies and in Québec, work travel in Italy and holiday travel in Portugal. More experiments with HDR photography as well as B&W conversion.

Still in Ottawa with its tulip festival, canoeing trips to Papineau Labelle and Killarney on Georgian Bay. First work trip to Australia and a thesis defence in Besançon with side trips to Burgundy and Alsace. Visit to the West Coast to hike the famous trail of the same name.
